Black is beauty! This thermowood brush will change the way you take a bath.
Made of Redecker thermowood, stiff and light pig bristle. The wood is baked at moderate temperatures of between 180°C and 220°C. This alters its structure and gives it a beautiful dark brown tone. Its colour and properties now resemble certain tropical timbers. It becomes more rigid and durable and no longer takes in water. In this state, thermowood is distorted only to a minimal degree and does not swell or shrink. This is an old method which we have re-discovered and we use it anywhere wood is constantly exposed to a high level of damp - in the bathroom and in the sauna area. The wood feels and looks good, initially retaining a slight scent of smoke, and it dries much faster than oiled or natural timbers. There is no need for chemical coatings or oil and wax aftertreatments - the heat treatment is, therefore, also environmentally friendly, saves natural resources, is healthy and cuts down the effort required for care.
You will love the soft pig bristle and reach places of your back that were unknown to you. This beautiful brush is water repellent due to the treated wood. Dry at room temperature, product softens over time.
Redecker brushes are made up of domestic woods, and bristles, hair, or plant fibres, as they have been for decades. This brush is inspired by Redecker's commitment to providing high quality body care brushes for wellness and relaxation.
The first handcrafted Redecker brushes were produced in 1935. A lot has changed since then. Today the name Redecker stands as it has for many years for an ideal combination of natural quality, function and design. It lives from the blend of inventiveness, sound craftsmanship and creativity. Precedence is given to natural, sustainable raw materials.
